Crafting Stories That Sell

You may have heard this well-known phrase: FACTS TELL, but STORIES SELL.

Facts build interest and credibility. Authentic stories on the other hand, compel people to learn more and take action. 

One of the first activities recommended for new Brand Partners, is to work with your Sponsor or upline leader to craft your three Purium stories: Product, Business and Company.

When a new – or any Brand Partner for that matter – has something authentic to say, they talk to more people with confidence and excitement.

Top Tip: As you write your stories, write them the way you speak, not the way you write! In this way, you’ll sound more real and more authentic.

Product Stories

When delivering:

  • Keep it simple
  • Speak candidly
  • Be casual
  • Avoid “seller talk.” Words like amazing, incredible, unbelievable!
  • Keep it brief say, 30-60 seconds

Some additional points to focus on:

How did you hear about Purium?

What products did you start on?

What were the issues you wanted to address? Weight loss, brain fog, energy, bloated belly, hormones, sleep deprivation, athletic performance?

What were your results and in what time frame: For example, “In just one month, I dropped 5 pounds, my energy was off the charts, and I actually slept through the night!”

Top Tip: You can back up your results with before and after photos. You know what they say: “A picture is worth a thousand words.”

Business Stories

With a well-crafted Business story, you can briefly and authentically share what motivated you to join Purium, and how your business is – or will – impact your life, your family’s life, and your lifestyle.  

Now, for some people, as they begin their journey with Purium, they’re not really comfortable talking business because they’re brand new – and haven’t built one yet.

The truth is everyone has a story from day one.  And it revolves around the reasons why you joined Purium. 

Follow this simple outline to craft your Business story:

What do you do and for how long? 

“I’ve been a realtor for 10 years.”

“I’ve been a teacher for 5 years.”

“I’ve been a stay-at-home mom for 3 years.”

What do you like about it? (Let’s use the teacher as an example here.)

“The kids of course.”

“I love making a positive difference for my students.”

“I’ve always loved teaching and mentoring.”

What don’t you like about it?

“The hours are long and keep me from spending time with my kids.”

“The commute each day is exhausting.”

“I’m definitely not paid what I’m worth.”

How will your Purium business make a difference? 

“As I continue to create success with Purium, my plan is to retiree years earlier than I ever thought possible.”

New Business Story:

“I’ve been a teacher for 5 years. And of course, I love the kids. And making a positive difference for my students. And I’ve always loved teaching and mentoring. It’s what I do.

“And yet – the hours are long and keep me from spending time with my kids. I hate the commute. And I’m definitely not paid what I’m worth. It’s my Purium business that will allow me to take charge of my life and retire years earlier than I ever thought possible.
